The high performance athletes, they are disciplined people.Both constancy and planning are their main weapons to face and overcome the challenge of obtaining results not only in sports area but also in academics and last but no least important in the personal. Among the characteristics of the high performance athlete stands out their mental strength their ability to cope with stressful situations either anxiety or failure. 

The high performance athlete is moved by passion. The passion boils inside, it comes out in form of perseverance, dedication and intelligent solutions. when the talents lacks passion, it stops shinning, occupying areas of mediocrity. In this way, the passion is constituted in the essential element in the emerger of the personality of the athlete besides making him be an athlete with his own brand. The practice of detecting talent does not suppose adding value to the set but to decompose the potential of it to improve it. 

To talk about an specific athlete, I can mention Claudia Poll. She was born in Managua Nicaragua. Both parents of German nationality. A girl from Nicaragua nationalized Costa Rican. She is the first athlete in the history of Costa Rica to win the first and only gold medal of her country in the Olympics Games, in Atlanta in 1996. In 1992 she won seven gold medals. She is considered the most successful Latin American athlete and swimmer of all time.
